OK...Rose told Cal she'd rather be Jack's whore than Cal's wife.

But would she really do that given the crunch?

Say they both survived, but Jack lost fingers to frostbite in the
water...and THE way they could support themselves was by Rose
being prostitute and Jack being pimp.Would she still feel being
with Jack was worth more than marrying Cal?

I would say yes because either way you look at it she would be a prostitue.
She would only be marrying and sleeping with Cal for his money. So she
might as well be Jack's whore than be Cal's.

I wonder if anyone would ever do this situation as a fanfic!

That's not what she meant..... Louis, be thankful I KNOW you're not a
troll.

All right, I'll play.

Translation of that line: "I'd rather spend my life being made love to by a
poor man than being f**ked by a rich prick."

Hope that clears it up a bit.....

Incidentally, the line: "I'd rather be his whore than your wife."
originates from the legendary TV series Twin Peaks. Spoken by Norma
Jennings to Hank Jennings about Ed Hurley. ; )

Titanic also shares actors Billy Zane and David Warner with Twin Peaks.

David Warner was on Twin Peaks?! Every movie that I have ever seen that
has a Twin Peaks cast member always seems to end up having another Twin Peaks
cast member in it also. I thought Titanic was the exception, but I guess not.
Okay, now I see, he played Thomas Eckhardt. I knew he looked familiar.
