When Jack searches for his third class cabin, I always thought he says
to himself "G16, G16..."

I just got myself the ATI All-in-Wonder card, a video capture card with
closed caption decoding.

According to the captions, he says to himself "360, 360, " , obviously
that's incorrect.

Could Jack be possibly searching for G60?

No. Has to be G16, as there is no such room as G60, as shown on the
Encyclopedia Titanic cabin lists:

RMS Titanic did not have a cabin G60.

Well, it is proven several times that Cameron made a few changes like that.
The G60 designation must have some significance to him.

No. It couldn't be G60. It couldn't becasue there is no such room as G60 and
the room number on his cabin door said G16

Turn on your Closed Caption button and it should tell you what he actually
says- I did that in certain parts of the movie and its kinda cool if you're
confused about little voice tid-bits like that

The original poster said that he already did, and that it said 360. Now,
since there was no cabin 360 on Titanic, methinks that closed captioning
isn't done from the script! IIRC, when in the theatre I noted that it was
G16, but don't hold me to that, since it's been way over a year now.

Internet statistics are like a lamp-post to drunk. They provide support, but
not always illumination.

My closed captioning shows he's saying "360" over and over as he and
Fabrizio work their way through G deck.

The highest cabin number I find on board, however, is 260, which happens to
be on "G" deck.

Others have claimed he said "G60" or "G63," both on F (yes "F") deck or G16,
which was on G deck..

Interestingly, G63 was occupied by Mr Olaus Jørgensen Abelseth and Mr Adolf
Mathias Nicolai Olsen Humblen. The picture of Mr. Abelseth looks a lot like
the guy who says "Where's Sven?" as Jack and Fabrizio pile into the room.

Someone also thought he said "E60" which was on E deck, occupied by Mr Henry
Forbes Julian.

As someone who's partially deaf and relies on
closed-captioning, it's very disconcernting to be watching a program
and not be able to rely on the CC because they were done so poorly.
Many times, the CC is so jumbled you can't make any sense out of it.
I don't know whether to blame that on those that type up the CC, the
show (or movie) I'm watching, or my TV set (a Zenith).
