Hi,
I have seen Time Bandits a 1000 times and noted in the cast listing a Marcus
Powell as Horseflesh.

I know his character is mentioned in the film, but is he actually in it ??
I cannot recall seeing him at any time in the film..
If anyone knows, please could you point him out :o)

Finally, I am about to purchase this film on DVD. If there are different
versions, which version should I buy ?

Thanx..

Graeme

I *think* he's the little fella with Evil... He appears at various points in
the Fortress of Ultimate Darkness, scurrying around. I always thought that
was a wonderfully subtle point.. that Horshflesh went over to the bad
side... :)

I maybe really outhere, but I was thinking Horseflesh died before the story
picks up. (Either way, he is the mapmaker, right?)

According to imdb, horseflesh is only mentioned and not shown in the film,
(yep, he's the previous leader). However, it also mentions that the
European version is six minutes longer than the North American release.
Perhaps there is some footage of him that us North Americans have not seen.

I have (presumably) the European version - what do you have over there, the
Love Conquers All version?!?!?

Horshflesh appears with Evil in several scenes (if memory serves). He's
there right along with Robert and Benson, scuttling about after all the
others minions are zapped. I think he's finally zapped with Robert (who
seems very protective of him) in the scene with Kevin and Evil, just before
the cavalry arrive.

It's TRUE! Honest! Yes, Randall said "Horshflesh is dead", but don't you see
how it works? Horshflesh was the leader who went over to the dark side, and
ended up serving Evil. The others were never that bad, although they
desperately wanted to be. And how do you think Evil knew about the map in
the first place, huh? Horshflesh told him!

That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it.

(It's my all-time favourite film, so there)
