Family info on Brigitte Helm

I've also never seen any information on Brigitte Helm's family, other than
that her father was a Prussian officer who died when she was young, that she
grew up with her mother, and that she had a sister who also was in films.
While looking at Ancestral File at the Mormon Family History Center website,
I found the following entry:
Hugo Kunheim, born 3 Jul 1900 in Berlin, Germany, died about 1984 in Munich,
Germany. His wife's name is not listed, because at the time the information
was submitted, she was still living. But it does state that she is the
daughter of:
Edwin Alexander Johannes Schittenhelm
born 19 Nov 1871 in Bad Cannstatt, Germany
died 21 Jan 1913 in Teupitz/Berlin, Germany
and his wife (married on 14 May 1899)
Grete Gertrud Martha Tews
born 16 Nov 1877 in Uckermuende, Pommern, Germany
died 5 Aug 1955 in Berlin, Germany
It's hard to say whether this is her or not for sure, but it sure seems to
be (husband's name is correct, father's last name is correct, he died when
she was young). The site is located at:

and it has a lot more information on her ancestry. It also gives the
address of the person in Utah who submitted the information. It says that
Hugo Kunheim and his wife had four daughters, which, if this is Brigitte
Helm and her husband, is incorrect. They had four children, but I believe
at least three of them were sons.
I couldn't find it just now, but there is a picture out on the internet of
her son Eberhard von Kunheim and I had a really hard time seeing the
resemblance with her.

Is this the Eberhard von Kunheim who was the director of BMW AG?

No, it is Kuenheim, not von Kuenheim. And it is surely not the has been
director of BMW. Brigitte Helm had three sons, two living in Germany, one in
England. They are not very keen of seeking publicity. However they came to
the premiere of the restored "Metropolis" showing and liked it a lot.

children.
Her New York Times obituary said:
"Ms. Helm's survivors include a son, Mathius Kuenheim of London, two other
sons and a daughter".
A German on-line newspaper (forgot to take down the title) wrote, "Das
teilte der Sohn der Schauspielerin, Pieter Kunheim, heute in Muenchen mit."
But a German language newspaper here in the U.S. said this:
"Sie heiratete 1935 den Industriellen Hugo von Kuenheim und hatte mit ihm
vier Kinder, unter ihnen den ehemaligen BMW-Vorstands-vorsitzenden Eberhard
von Kuenheim." So that's where I got that from. But everything else agrees
with you that it is Kuenheim not von Kuenheim. They must have jumped to
conclusions, as I did.
