Lisa Marie Presley is involved in a wild love triangle--she's fallen
in love with ex-husband Danny Keough's closest friend.
And STAR has learned that Lisa Marie's latest love affair developed
right under the roof of her own mansion while Danny was around.
In the past three months lovelorn Lisa Marie has been seeing her
ex-hubby and his pal.
Just three months ago she gushed to a pal: "I love Danny. I want to
remarry."
But at the same time she was falling for handsome Luke Watson, who
went to work for the 31-year-old heiress last summer as her children's
bodyguard.
"Lisa Marie was lonely and looking for love," a family friend explains
to STAR. "She and Danny have toyed with the idea with getting back
together many times, and he spends a lot of his time at her house with
the children.
"But once Luke won her heart, Lisa Marie's feelings for Danny took a
back seat.
"Lisa Marie needs a lot of attention and Luke is willing to give it to
her. She may finally have found her perfect match."
Watson is a 30-year-old musician who was assigned to the once-lonely
Lisa Marie by the Church of Scientology--and sources tell STAR he's a
perfect love match for Elvis' only child.
"It's amazing, and it's really neat to see," says a source close to
the couple. "It started out as an employer-employee relationship, but
it's blossomed into a full-blown love affair."
But STAR has learned that despite the relationship between Lisa Marie
and her ex-husband's pal, there has been no tension--and the couple
have the blessing of Danny, the father of her two children.
"Danny is totally cool with it--he and Luke used to play in a band
together, and they've been friends for a long time," says the source.
"He told me he'd rather see his ex and his kids around someone he
respects and can trust, not with some jerk."
Watson even accompanied Presley to the Academy Awards, jetted with her
to Waikiki, Hawaii, for a romantic trip and recently joined his new
love and her two children, Danielle, 9, and Benjamin, 6, on a trip to
her romantic log-cabin near Park City, Utah.
"Lisa Marie and Luke have been spotted around town holding hands and
being very affectionate toward each other," a source in Utah tells
STAR.
In fact, a STAR photographer snapped exclusive photos of Lisa Marie
and Luke on April 1 at Los Angeles International Airport coming off a
flight--where they sat together--from Salt Lake City.
The pair traveled with a small entourage consisting of a nanny, her
children and an assistant, and were met at the gate by additional
security.
Tongues were wagging at L.A.'s posh Argyle Hotel when reports leaked
that Lisa Marie's 31st birthday party in February was thrown by a
"mystery boyfriend"--who STAR has learned was Watson.
"They were still trying to keep their relationship under wraps," says
the source.
The love affair is a case of business turning into pleasure, adds the
insider.
"Lisa Marie wanted someone full time to be with Danielle and Benjamin,
not so much in a nanny sense, but someone to watch out over them,"
says the source.
"Lisa Marie sought guidance and help from the Church of Scientology
and last summer they assigned her Luke.
"Luke moved in to look after the kids, but he's so charismatic, he
quickly became her confidant--and by the new year they became lovers,
although until now they've managed to keep it hush-hush."
Watson even scores high points in mom Priscilla Presley's book.
"After the Michael Jackson fiasco, Priscilla is happy that Lisa
Marie's with someone who is grounded--he already feels like part of
the family," adds the source.
"Priscilla is crazy about him. She thinks he'd make a great husband
for her daughter. He has lots of personality and is a genuinely nice
man."
Lisa Marie's new relationship is also paying dividends in her budding
music career. Watson has been helping her with ideas for her first
record, due out later this year.
"Since Luke is a guitar player and songwriter himself. Lisa Marie
would bounce ideas off him after her sessions were done--working on
song ideas," says the source.
"It got to the point where Lisa Marie and Luke would be up half the
night working on songs, and that's where the love affair really
started.
"Lisa Marie would talk for hours about the joys and traumas of growing
up a Presley, about the weird mistake she made marrying Michael and
about how much she loves her two children.
"Luke was there, lent a sympathetic ear and worked his way into her
heart.
"Lisa Marie has dealt with enough heartache to be suspicious when
things seem a little too perfect. But there are definitely some good,
long-term prospects here."
