I just noticed that I have the original artwork used in Jim Henson's
and Steven Speilberg's, "The Labyrinth" - the movie with David Bowie in
it!!

It's the picture that looks like an MC Escher knock-off - the one with
a lot of stairways - hanging in "Sarah's" bedroom. Remember later in
the movie, Sarah tries to reach her baby brother through these
stairways?

The artist is R. F. Tapnio - but as luck would have it - there's NO
information on him/her via the net.

The picture appears to be a pencil/ink/paint effort on canvas. It's in
good condition too - needs a little cleaning but I know it's the
original because the artist's pencil marks (outlines) are all over it.

And yes - we found the work at a garage sale!

Anyone have any info?

Yeah - I just checked the date of the picture against the date of the
movie. The movie was made in '86. The picture/painting I have was made
in '83.

This is totally the original!! :-D
