The Credits in 2001 list Alcott as 'additional cinematorgraphy' anyone know
exactly to what parts he contributed?

John Alcott filmed the 'Dawn of Man' sequence at the beginning of the
movie. This scenes had been shot at the end of production-phase.
Photographer Geoffrey Unsworth had to leave the production, because
shooting lasted so long and he had already signed to other projects.

In article <3714B9...@unet.univie.ac.at>,

It should also be noted that J Alcott was G Unsworth's first assistant until
he took over the DoP position when Unsworth left. So Alcott from there from
the beginning to the end of principal photography.
