Speaking of The Shining, it's ironically bizarre to see a new ad for a hotel
chain (Premier Inn) recreating the "Here's Johnny" scene in order to drum up
some business as the economy continues to melt away, as in the clip below.
Even more amusing is when it is someone like black British comedian Lenny
Henry playing the role(s) of both predator and victim. Sounds like this
hotel chain is about to go bankrupt. BTW, Henry also play Norman Bates - or
his 'mother' - (and his victim) in another ad. Yes, just the sort of thing
that would hypnotically media-seduce you into instantly wanting to stay in
one of these godawful hotels ...
