ANNE GREY

Do you know if Anne Grey is still alive?

The IMDB does not show that she has died. That makes her the oldest
living Hitchcock actress I think.

For those of you not familiar with Anne Grey, she was the glamorous
young woman who pretended to be deaf and dumb for much of "Number
Seventeen" (1932). Her most often seen movie today is the Laurel and
Hardy feature film "Bonnie Scotland".

Anne Grey was born 1907, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England, UK. That
would make her 96 or 97 if she is really still alive.

You will find a photo of her here:

You can always check her out at the IMDB

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0340514/

I've noticed that IMDb are good about updating their biographical data.
For instance, Janet Leigh died less than a month ago, and IMDb has the
date of her death already listed.

My guess is that Anne Grey is still alive.

One of the women from "Downhill" is still alive (last I heard), so I think she
would be the oldest Hitchcock actress even if Anne Grey is still around.

I wonder whether or not she has ever written anything regarding
"Downhill", something we could possibly read today.
