Today there are numerous places that you can download movies from. You
may actually find yourself confused, wondering which one is the best
one. Well, here is a look at each one so that you can decide for
yourself which is the best:
iTunes has been very popular ever since it first began, making over 1
million dollars the first week it was open. While this download site
has some bugs, the site is still going strong and is expected to
successfully bring on additional studios sometime soon. For now
though, all you can get is Disney.
Guba is a branch off of a Usenet product. This happened when they made
a deal to sell Warner Brothers movies, which was soon followed by a
deal to sell Sony movies. Since then, Guba has competed on price and
consistently been the lowest priced download site. Along with the
premium movies that you can buy or rent, there are also free user-
generated and Usenet videos available. Cinema Now recently released a
movie online at the same time that the DVD was released, which is the
first time that this has ever been done. Another great thing about
Cinema Now is that they have a Burn-To-DVD feature. This will allow
you to burn select titles to a DVD that can be played in almost any
DVD player. You will have to have a Windows PC and Internet Explorer
to use this web site though.
Movie Link actually has the largest catalog of new releases and
library titles. While they are not as low priced as other web sites
are, they do have discounts for people who are in the military or in
college. They also have mystery rentals. You may want to give this web
site a try because of how many titles they actually do have. Amazon
Unbox has received a lot of bad feedback because of their license
agreements being so unfriendly to its users. However, when compared
with all of the other movie download sites, Unbox actually has the
best meta-data about its movies and television shows. You will be able
to read about the item's plot, release and consumer ratings. You will
also be able to see some of the item's productions stills before you
decide whether or not to download it.
Unfortunately, if you are using a Mac, you can only use iTunes.
However, Windows users would do well to either go with Movie Link's
deep catalog or Guba's great pricing.
