Yup...when Mike appeared on the Tonight Show a couple of nights ago (with
Heather and Josh in the audience), they certainly appeared missing to me. ;)

they ARE actors -- have appeared numerous times since the film was
released, including Heather being on with Leno and also with Craig
Kilborn. Josh got himself a part in an upcoming film with Cuba Goodings,
Jr., and Robert DiNero. Pretty good for 6 days in the woods, huh?
He then went on to get the girl interested in investing in a piece of the
Brooklyn Bridge.

There are NO real students. The entire thing was fictional....the myth, the 3
characters. EVERYTHING.
If Heather, Josh and Mike were playing *real* students, don't you think they'd
play characters other than those named "Heather, Josh and Mike"? And don't
you think this would have been a major news story?

Argh...which Jen are you referring to? I don't think it's me, but I don't
know...because you didn't quote!
Please?

The actors were very good at seeming like non-actors. When I went
to see the movie, I knew it was fiction, but I was surprised to find out
in Time that the directors interviewed actors for 2 years before they
chose Heather, Mike, and Josh. I thought they were 3 slacker buddies of
the filmmakers.
Last night, I saw Josh Leonard on Leno. He projects that same
kind of laid-back Keanu Reeves-style semi-baked dudacity, but when Leno
asked him how he got the part, he said that he called the filmmakers at
least once a week for a year, to remind them that he wanted the part,
before they finally gave in and hired him.
