The fact is that nowhere on Blairwitch.com, on Artisan's site, during the
previews, T.V. commercials, in the Sc-Fi channel special or in the words of
the film makers is it claimed that these are actual events. As a matter of
fact the film makers actually cam right out and said that it was just a
movie, and idea that they thought would be cool.

Its to make you think. Its not a "horror" film. Its scary you think
about you being there. Knowing your going to die. The worst part is how
people are going OUT of their way to make people think its real. That
whole Sci Fi thing was really stupid to put together. Its fake
information. But there are people who are saying it's real. Thats REALLY
pathetic, it really is. Maybe that would be cool. But I think they need
to stop the lies considering every site says its fiction. Its just WAY
over disscussed. Facts are facts. Heather Donahue is going to be on "The
Late Show" On August 6th. Enough proof for ya?

i have not read or seen anything where someone said it was real.i think
the sci-fi special was cool.it's just like how they promote other
movies,but this one was more original..unlike the 2 hour commericial
known as phantom menace..

In no way shape or form have the film makers stated that TBWP is real.
Theyve said it thousands of times... ITS FAKE! Its the public that have
fueled the "true story" hype. The sci-fi channel special was a
wonderfully creative special & i felt it was an awesome warm up for the
movie.

one thing i noticed about the blair witch docu,on the sci fi channel was
how convincing it was.then i started to think about those shows like
"sightings" they could of easily faked those shows too.but very
convincing...you can order "the curse of the blair witch" tape..
