I'm wondering what everyone thought the point of the slime on Josh's stuff
and the bundles of sticks found in the creek when the 10yr old girl was
pulled into the water was. Anyone think that if Josh was made to kill Mike
and Heather as Rustin was made to kill the kids that possibly the slime had
something to do with it?

I think the slime was just some creepy thing to put in the movie. The thing
I did not like of the slime issue was that to me suggested a supernatural
force. I mean the Blair Witch was a person and the mythology of it seemed to
be of a real person status (tangible objects) and not some Ghostbusters
slime trick.

Green slime is copyrighted by Paramount Studios. No joke.

Green slime is copyrighted? Now, that's disheartening. Does anybody else
besides me remember "You Can't Do That On Television?"
No wonder they went off the air....

Well, if she's still around in 1994, then the supernatural is *definitely*
involved.

I loved that show... nearly raised me.... I still can't get over the episode
where the kid was harassed for using 3 squares of toilet paper instead of
just one.... man, they must've had really big squares back then.

And that "reverse-thingy" where everyone acted opposite of normal... and
they were eating at the cafeteria and the chef served eau du toilet, from a
toilet that hadn't been washed in 4 years.

Heheh.... brings me back.

If this was a Ghostbusters reference, then it was Columbia Pictures, not
Paramount...

"This is the indroduction to the opposites." Heheh. And they also had a
different theme for each episode, indicated by the phony cancelled program
at the beginning.

>Heheh.... brings me back.

Yeah back to 1989. Hhehe.

> The significance of the slime is threefold.

1) It's a physical manifestation of the supernatural in the living world.

2) When Bill first gets hit in the Hotel hallway, it's a great comedy vehicle.

3) It makes a great kids toy. Especially the one with fake eyeballs in it.

You can still do it at Paramount's Kings Island Theme Park in Cincinnati. They have big green slime machines in the
Nickelodeon section of the park. On the whole, the park is disgusting, unkempt and just dirty since Paramount took it
over. But hey, if you're desperate for the slime, there ya go!

You're right, it was Columbia Pictures and not Paramount Studios. I
will now stick a butane lighter up my nose and burn out all my nostril
hairs.
But the copyright is real. A lot of years ago when Mattel was selling
Heman and the Masters of the Universe cartoon series toys, they thought
they could use the Ghostbusters' catch phase "I've been slimed!" to
promote a playset that used eh...green slime. This was just before the
Real Ghostbusters cartoon series. Well, they settled out of court with
the condition nobody would use it.
The really funny ( Funny strange, not funny haha ) thing is that
ectoplasm is supposed to be cotton white according to all the
parapsychology books.
