A friend is looking to buy a basic Mtn Bike ($1000Aus = $500US)
He's found at his LBS an Apollo with Front Sus, and dual Disk brakes, on
special at $770Aus.
Anyone know if Apollo are a good bike?

If it's the same Apollo that exists in the UK, then no, they suck harder
than Anna-Nicole Smith at a billionaire's convention (to quote Corvus).

I should know, I used to sell them...

Try posting this one on aus.bicycle but you won't get much info there in
relation to MTB's. Apollo is good entry level MTB they have a high end range
that caters more for racing and LX and above bikes called Raceline. They do
a good job and a excellent value for money. Hey whats the difference between
bikes these days anyway?
