Kind of a moot question at this point, isn't it?
Kathleen
Bush Wins: I become depressed that a doofus like him is president and
begin to ride much more frequently to combat depression. I end up
purchasing loads of replacement parts and average one bike from a small
manufacturer like Titus or Habanero a year, thus helping small business.
Looks like either way I win!! <G>

that doesn't mean he's Mike V. what does Gore know or care about
mountainbiking? or Bush for that matter? and i'm not sure why
there's all this talk about it coming down to Florida. according to
www.fisherbikes.com, Gary Fisher was winning by a huge margin last
night.

Unfortunately that will meant hat you voted for the winner of the two,
not that it matters in the grand scheme of things. I don't think either
of them planned to give generous capital loans to the major bike
companies or introduce new stringent safety standards requiring passive
restrain systems on bicycles.

I don't know about the bike industry, but Bush has promised to remove the
caps lock key from all webtv boxes.
This is a good thing.

Are you sure Bush knows what the Web *is*?
Phoo, Al just misspoke. Nobody's ever done that before?

(He wasn't taking credit for inventing the Internet, he was taking credit
for funding it. The veracity of THAT claim, well...)
He seems the type to go on a crusade to stamp out internet porn :)
Ya know, Al Gore DID invent singletrack...
I'm not sure how Moots is going to be impacted either.

That's the most ignorant texish BS I've ever seen on this NG. Comparing an
area like austin to a whole state that even has (albeit small) mountains is
ludicrous. I bet you've never even ridden in TN. Say in tx edweeb.
Sure he does. Al Gore also invented webtv just after he did the internet.

Yes, and I hear he invented the wheel, as well
Oh come one now ... we ALL know Clinton invented singletrack ... or was that
onetrack??

Bush is an Environmental Rapist. It wouldn't go good for the world.
That he may very well be. My idea of an environmental rapist is a bit
different though. Dean Williamson is an environmental rapist. Laird
Knight is an environmental rapist. Those nuckfuts who trashed Chutes &
Ladders with their dirt bikes are environmental rapists. Dweebs who
ride their mountain bikes off-trail are environmental rapists. It's
always easier to point fingers at the top of the food chain, but there
are always individuals in the chain that are just as (if not more)
responsible for damage to our environment.
> It wouldn't go good for the world.
That's yet to be determined, isn't it?
You both forget ... they are politicians and they BOTH will screw either the
environment or the mtb'er for money. Neither really cares ... look at their
record and what they say ... don't get so worked up about the Bush/Gore
thing ... it doesn't make one bit of difference who is where, the end result
WILL be the same.

When Bush starts massive drilling for oil in Alaskan wilderness I'm sure

I think it's gonna piss off a lot of us outdoors people when that fuck
bush bulldozes "just 7%" of irreplaceable alaskan wilderness in search
of oil. That should make our automotive friends happy though, when
fuel prices drop 3.5 cents.
I don't suppose you're writing from Alaska. I think it's interesting when
people dictate what citizens of other states should or should not be doing
with their state. It's also interesting that Bush CARRIED Alaska.
To slowly pull the thread back on-topic, what's the coldest conditions in
which anyone's ever ridden?

I was just wondering how the cold would affect tires, brake cable
contraction, lube, etc.
Easy now. This is the longest thread started by a webtv user that didn't
degrade into a

think it is hunting season here.

Did a cyclocross race in Cincinnati last winter that about 15 above before
