Hi everybody, thanks for all your advice on purchasing a bike. However, I've ignored it all and
am thinking about getting a Thin Blue Line. For those of you who are not from the Toronto area it
is a local company that seems to make really great bikes. For about 1750 CDN I'll get an Easton
Elite frame, Judy XC, full Xt (including the V brake) X-ray shifters, decent tires, Mavic rims and
some other run of the mill parts. Oh yeah, it also comes with Ritchey clipless pedals. What do
you thing? Anybody have any experience with these bikes, especially the Tornado and
Hurricane? Please respond!

I don't have a Thin Blue Line myself (I ride a Brodie), but a number
of the people I ride with on a regular basis have them (the
top-of-the-line aluminum one, which ever that is), and they seem to
really like them. Since they're actually made in Thornhill (suburb of
Toronto for all you Americans), it's easy to replace cracked framesets
& get touchup paint, etc.

Of course, the guys I know that ride Thin Blue Lines are all Metro
Toronto cops, so maybe they just like the name...

I had a thin blue line as my first real bike...I thought it was pretty
good--you can't beat how much money you save for the quality bike you
get! I had a bottom of the line one but people I race with have the
better ones and they were pretty sweet too. I'd say go for it.

I am not familiar with the bike, but would like more info on the
company if you have it. Any info, address, phone number of the
company would be appreciated.
