Larger shops in cities usually have a good supply of clothing. Some
smaller shops focus mostly on hardware.

For a nylon shell, I just got a great one for $20 at Montgomery Ward
during their holiday sales. Great deals on fleece there too.
K-Mart has good athletic socks (coolmax!) every now and then, $4.00 for
2 pair! Just got me a set of those yesterday.
Running clothes suit cycling for everything but the padded tights (and
shoes, of course). Running is a lot more mainstream too, so clothing
is easy to find.

I am working on creating newsgroup habitat that is free
of trite sigs and off-limits to Eco-fanatical trolls ("pure habitat").
Want to help? (I spent the previous 8 years wandering
aimlessly, then I found mountain biking, praise the Lord!)
