The outlaw biker club known as the Rock Machine has reformed in
Canada, almost a decade after being all but wiped out during Quebec's
notorious biker war. This time, however, the club insists it has
distanced itself from its criminal past, and is built on "a whole new
concept."
The current club president said that the revamped club includes
ex-Bandidos, bikers who have never been part of a formal club, and
some original Rock Machine members.
The president, who did not wish to be publicly identified, said the
club has changed its policies in a number of ways, and has barred its
members from dealing drugs or stirring up trouble with other clubs.
As its own website states, the club is now "about biking and
brotherhood."
(Greg-Don't most of the clubs that get bad publicity state that? HAMC
is one example.)
Since relaunching earlier this year, the club has grown rapidly, the
president says, and has members in every province and a presence on a
"worldwide level."
And while members make no secret of their allegiance when cruising
down highways and roads, the president said not one has been arrested
since the club was reformed.
Provincial police in Ontario and Quebec, for their part, say they have
no intelligence indicating the Rock Machine are active in either
province.
"Your next-door neighbour could be a Rock Machine and you wouldn't
know it," the president said.
Some members, however, are incarcerated and have joined the club from
inside prison walls - a development one biker expert said is a
significant catalyst for the relaunched Rock Machine.
Alex Caine, a freelance investigator and author of Befriend and
Betray: Infiltrating the Hells Angels, Bandidos and Other Criminal
Brotherhoods, said the new Rock Machine formed as a result of a deal
made with the Hells Angels.
In 2002, many Ontario and Quebec Bandidos were arrested, charged and
sentenced to federal prison where, Caine says, they had to make a deal
to stay safe in a system filled with Hells Angels and its associates.
They had to agree to permanently drop their allegiance with the
Bandidos or face the consequences. "It was an offer they could not
refuse, and so they accepted," he says.

allegiances.)
Eventually, these bikers came up with the idea of rebranding
themselves as Rock Machine members - a move they felt would not negate
the deal they made, but which has left the Hells Angels feeling
"hoodwinked," Caine said.
"The only reason they came into existence is because they couldn't be
Bandidos," he said.
As time goes on, these bikers are getting out of jail and joining the
Rock Machine, Caine said. He estimates the new Rock Machine has as
many as 100 members across Canada. More than half, he said, are
members of the original club.
One prominent original Rock Machine member to switch sides was Paul
(Sasquatch) Porter - recently identified by Ottawa police in a murder
trial as the leader of the Hells Angels in Ontario. Other remaining
members were said to have patched over to the Bandidos - the
second-largest outlaw motorcycle club in the world.
It was supposed to be the end of the Rock Machine nation. In April
2006, when eight bodies were found at a farm property in Shedden,
Ont., most people assumed nearly all of the Canadian Bandidos had been
killed.
Not so, according to the Rock Machine president. He said 27 other
Bandidos were active at the time, all of whom were not involved with
what happened in Shedden.
The Bandidos officially closed down all of their Canadian operations
in October of last year, the president said.
When it came time to starting up a new club, the decision was made to
honour "the first true one-percenter club to get off the ground here
in Canada" by choosing the name Rock Machine, the president said. (The
term one-percenter was born decades ago to describe the proportion of
motorcyclists who live outside society's norms.)
Whatever baggage the name brought with it, club members were prepared
to accept.
"It's our history, it's our heritage," he said. "Good or bad, it's our
heritage."

as well as phony currency and witness intimidation and obstruction of
justice. They have been known to bribe and scare law enforcement
officers and judges into doing their bidding. These ppl must be
rooted
out of the Cdn justice system. Two judges have actually done their
job
and declared HAMC a criminal org and the Victoria Times-Colonist is
calling for it to be banned as a terrorist org.

efforts to eradicate them."

The White Rock chapter Sgt.Of Arms, Villy Roy Lynnerup, recently was
arrested for trying to board an airplane at YVR
with a loaded firearm. Was probably going to crash the plane into the
Downtown courthouse or hold the passengers hostage in exchange for
the
release of Moms Boucher and all imprisoned full patch members. All
the
Hell's Angels, their supporters, associates etc. should be imprisoned
for twenty years
their children put in foster care and their assets seized.
Ppl are trying to get HAMC listed as a terrorist org. If you support
this
then write letters to editors of local newspapers and your local MP.
As well John Les the solicitor-general of BC before he resigned has
advocated banning
the wearing of gang colours such as biker patches in bars. Perhaps
John VanDongen can finish the job he started. Since HA
is
known to frequent Brandi’s and the Cecil and has links to
various bars in BC that would be an improvement. The gang has a
history of intimidating
bartenders, infiltrating unions involved in the bar industry, beating
and killing strippers and beating customers to death at random for no
reason. Contact your MLA as well as the local media and tell them you
want this implemented sooner rather than later.
VPD is appealing again for info about the homicide of Maria Yvette
Monzon who was shot dead on the westside of Vancouver. She was killed
by HA but the police have never stated that. There is a reward.
Colleen Reiter (Ryder?) of Surrey was killed by HAMC but the RCMP
refuse to confirm this.
