Riosteve
Naw, I rode your MOMMA!
1. Steve's 34th Harley...assuming Steve is about 34, then each of his
Harleys only lasted one year.
2. What is a Harley fanatic doing in a Yamaha newsgroup?

I do not understand this kind of discussions.
I like both kind of bikes. my choice was the Yamaha. Wildstar because more
weight, more Cubic.
It drives fantastic on the highway and on low speed it drives less good. I
do not like the sound so far. (needs more grrrrrrrrr)
I did consider to buy the Harley but it makes to much noice, to
expensive(about $8.000 more in Holland) and I like the looks of the Yamaha
more.
So what? Motorbike driving is having your way of fun. Do so and appriciate
everybodys choice and love your own choice.
I have a lot of fun on my Wildstar 1600. I own it for 5 weeks now and made
about 2500 miles so far. I loved every inch of it.

I have 3 bikes 98 Fat boy, 2001 Road Star and a 2002 goldwing. I been
riding for about 25 years.
FAT-BOY
The fat boy has way more accessories that the roadstar.
H&D mystic is something to consider.
Run's and sounds good.
good seat.
A little underpowered for it's weight.
ROADSTAR
Awesome low end torque, top end is flat. But for the cruiser drag or just
plain old cruising it will force you to smile.
Durability! My fatboy is been in the shop 2 times the first year of
purchase, with engine problems. The Yamaha has not even coughed.
The standard roadstar seat SUCKS! If you plan to ride 200 miles, better
bring some pain pills :-) (Mustang or Corbin)
Great looks, but the standard pipes are too muted and take away from it's
power. The Yamaha rev. limiter is set to 4250, leaving plenty of unclaimed
power left over. You will want to change this!
Ride is much more "fun" than the fat boy.
Hope this helps.
