I don't have a bike yet but I get the feeling that the plastic on
these bikes is very expensive. How much do they cost to replace?

I have been told to expect to pay about two hundred per piece. The people
that I have talked to all have five pieces of plastic on the bike, so it may
vary per bike. The kick in the ass comes when you want to buy the stickers
for the plastic.

A full set of plastic for a bike usually sells for $1200-1400. Just the
front stuff will run you about $900-1000. The factory stuff usually
comes painted and with decals applied.

I'm going through replacing the right side of my 99 VFR800 after a 35mph
slip in some sand.
Total cost including replacing the muffler is over $3000.00. Fun does
have its price sometimes.
