Does anyone know where I can find out how to paint brass railroad
models and steam engines? Is this something I have to sit down with
someone and learn? I'd really like to find out how to do it.

Before painting an expensive brass engine, I'd try painting some cheap
throw-away brass rail. They might not be the same alloys of brass, but
what works on one is more likely to work on another.
