Medjugorje - Too convenient

I am a nonpracticing Catholic. I have read many articles, and watched
many videos about the Blessed Virgin Mary appearing to six teenagers
in 1981 at Medjugorje, Bosnia - Herzegovina. I might be able to
believe such an event occured in 1981. Weird things happen
spiritually, not very often, but they happen nonetheless.

However, what has always felt a bit "off" about the whole "Our Lady of
Medjugorje" apparitions is how too convenient the apparations come to
the seers (the original teenagers). Supposedly The Blessed Virgin Mary
has been appearing to the seers with regularity for close to 40 years!

Wow. Who knew The Blessed Virgin Mary was so punctual and prolific.
The website listed above has every message from the Virgin Mary to the
seers since 1981 (1300+ messages). If you are bored, take a read.

For close to 40 years Medjugorje has become a pilgrimage for many
Catholics, Christians and others interested in perhaps seeing the
Virgin Mary herself, or signs of the Virgin Mary. One seer, Mirjana
Dragicevic-Soldo, has been the most public with her visions of the
Virgin Mary. As of August 1987, the Virgin Mary would come to Mirjana
on the 2nd of every month, usually between 9-11 am. As Medjugorje
became more popular with pilgrams, Mirjana would have her second of
the month visions outside (there are many videos of her having the
visions) so all could take part in the ecstasy (except she would be
the only one who could see the Virgin Mary).

Fast forward to March 2020. The world is in the begining of a Covid-19
pandemic freakout. On March 2nd, 2020 The Virgin Mary comes to
Mirjana, right on cue, here is a video:

Then world governments lockdown in mid March and The Blessed Virgin
Mary tells Mirjana on March 18 (Mirjana's birthday) that she will no
longer visit her on the 2nd of each month, and only visit her once a
year on March 18th. (Wouldn't you know, The Blessed Virgin Mary is on
board with the worldwide social distancing edicts.)

Convenient timing.

You would think with the whole BS pandemic, The Virgin Mary would be
outfront and center telling people to

pray for the sick and dying. You would think the Blessed Virgin Mary
would be making more public visits to the seers, not less. Jesus
healed while he was on earth, you would think the Virgin Mary would
call for worldwide healing while a pandemic is raging worldwide.

Instead the Virgin Mary stops her once a month very public visits to
Mirjana at Medjugorje just when the world needs her most.

Sounds more like the human seer (and local government officials)
wanted the monthly visions to stop, seeing as the world was in
lockdown and large groups of people are not allowed during a pandemic,
including large groups of pilgrams at Medjugorje traveling on the
second of the month to witness Mirjana's vision of the Virgin Mary.

Convenient timing.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is still appearing to other seers, including
Marija Pavlovic, she sees the Virgin Mary once a month on the 25th.
The Virgin Mary has not stopped her monthly visits to Marija, probably
because Marija does not do public visions. She conveniently can have
visions in her home in Italy far away from the prying eyes of the
pilgrims in Medjugorje.

Another seer, Ivan Dragicevic, still receives visitations and messages
from the Virgin Mary, during his prayer groups. He lives in Boston.

Yet another seer, Ivanka Ivankovic-Elez still receives annual
visitations from The Blessed Virgin Mary at her home in Medjugorje.

All too convenient in my book. I believe since the original
visitations in 1981 (which may have been real, or not) the seers have
been keeping up the apparition hoax/charade for personal (ego),
political and monetary gains. In my experience spiritual "things"
rarely come on cue and with such regularity as the monthly visits of
the Blessed Virgin Mary at Medjugorje for the past 40 years, and then
stop on cue from a human-made pandemic.

Perhaps some good has come of the 40 years of "visions" at Medjugorje,
but still it leaves a bad taste in my mouth, knowing in the end, a few
humans probably did it mostly for ego and monetary gain, and not for
true healing of the earth.
