One of them is the Bourneix mine which is of no interest to collectors,
since the gold is in solution in other minerals, there. The Salsigne
mine is also known for having had the biggest production of gold in
France in recent times (although it is more known among collectors for
its phosphates).
I did a little search using "Bourneix" and "or" and I found this page

As for finding gold there... But I know that you can pan for gold in
many rivers in France. The Herault river, the Gardon river (north of
Anduze, Gard), even the Rhone produce gold. Gold is also found in small
quantities in several streams in Brittany.
