I've been told that they're no longer going to be an army surplus place and
just sell general outdoor gear. Does anyone know anything about this? Their
webpage is down, it's like a bloody yo-yo.

I've always considered them far too bloody dear anyway, although admittedly
they do tend to turn up stuff that nobody else has...
If you're serious about picking up trick wee "gizzits" your best bet is
visiting militaria fairs, Vehicle rallys etc.
Even the "big name" dealers will haggle a bit at those, with so much
competition near at hand.
