Ha ha! Actually, there are many animals with vocal chords, such as cats
who are sometimes known to sing entire operas in groups which,
unfortunately, can denigrate rather quickly into a long and drawn out
session of target practice due to the disires of other inhabitants to
enjoy a quiet slumber.

On a more serious "note," however, I suspect that you were "singing a
tune" about the other species not being able to articulate their own
ideas vocally.
