As it turned out, I became an initiator and actually DID work for SRM.
More stories to come.

John - You are mistaken. Jerry Jarvis, the former director of Students
International Meditation Society, was a landscape architect by profession.
Where do you get this stuff, just make it up?

Provide the actual quote and source from the book willy. My
information was from three different personal sources who knew him. I
don't trust your comments.
I stand by my words.

Having no insider information myself, I would put my money on Mr. Manning.

John - So, we are agreed that you never actually knew Jerry Jarvis. And, we
are agreed that you never actually talked to Jerry Jarvis concerning his
profession. And, we are agreed that you have never actually met Jerry
Jarvis, except one day when you were standing around with Charlie Lutes
beside a lake, modeling a briefcase. And, we are agreed that it has been
almost thity years since that day, and to date, you have never actually
spoken to Jerry Jarvis, yet you somehow feel qualified to gossip about
someone you do not even know, behind their backs on a newsgroup.
Jerry Jarvis personally told me that he was a landscape architect by
profession, and he showed me his work. When Jerry retired from the TMO he
returned to his profession, and his wife Debbie started a travel agency in
Pacific Pallisades. These facts can be confirmed by Jerry himself, or you
could ask Robert Keith Wallace, who also knows Jerry personlly. Keith and I
were initiated by Jerry Jarvis in 1965 at the first SIMS course in L.A.
The point is that you are talking about someone that you do not even know,
dude. It is very rude to do that on a public forum, especially when you
cast aspersions concerning their integrity, based on mere hearsay. Please
refrain from doing so in the future.

Petrus - So, we are agreed that you have no insider information about
anything, just rumors and trancenet gleanings. Yet, you made the claim of
having lived in Fairfield for over fourteen years? What happened?
I would put my money on John Manning, who at least, once overhead a few
phrases at a California lakeside camp-meet with Charlie.
I've lived in Fairfield since Aug 1982, have seen several Charlie Lutes
lectures in Iowa City, and about all I can recall is his tiresome "light
in the loafers" spiel that he drags out every time and his advice to
only accept rides from the saucer shaped UFO's and not the cigar shaped
ones. Oh yeah, and around Petra he'd light up like a 1000 watt halogen
bulb, but that happens to most guys.
No UFO's have stopped by yet, but comet Hale-Bopp was awfully pretty in
our dark NW sky, and Kaplan's jet routinely flies over our house on the
approach to the runway two miles directly south of us. Tomorrow is the
harvest festival over at Billy and Dawn's Aurora Farm, and I gotta run
now and grab some lunch, maybe pick up a dozen free-range eggs from
happy weed'n'bug eating chickens.

Willy do you now really believe yourself after you have said a lie over and
over? That is even more pathetic than making others believe them lies. All
my posts are in Google, Be so kind as to find the one in which I made the
claim of having lived in Fairfield for over fourteen years.
What's wrong?... Willy what's taking you so long... Did I catch you in
telling another lie? What an evil web we weave ...
I knew Jerry Jarvis quite well. Met him and discussed many things with
him.
And, we

I never talked with him about his profession. It was not appropriate.
I really don't care if he was a garbage man or a corporate CEO. He was
an asshole. I stand by my statement that he was a house painter by
profession.
And, we are agreed that you have never actually met Jerry

I met with and spoke with Jerry Jarvis on numerous occasions - At his
center, at TTC in Estes Park, CO, at Humbolt and at Lake Tahoe.

How lovely. Where is the quote and source from the book you used to
indicate this architectural landscaper info that I asked for?
