Uncle - Hey! That I would respond to you in the first place places you in a
good light, but I don't recall saying anything about Ram on this list -
maybe you've got me mixed up with that other guy that posts to
alt.buddha.short.fat.guy., you know what I mean, Soki? Its obvious that you
don't want me laying my trip on you and I don't want you laying my trip on
you, so anyway here's my trip on Rama:
When are you going to get off your high-horse and take on the responsibility
of being the successor to Rama? You let all those poor hapless students of
his go over to that other Saint, the Adi Da.
Thanks a lot, Pal!
At some point you need to take on some responsibilities yourself, instead of
letting Lentz and Mahesh do all the work, but I really can't blame you. Look
what they did to Jesus Christ. If you know anything, you should let us
know - don't be a tight-fisted teacher like those esoteric types. You
already have the key to the secret of the universe, don't you? Why don't you
just let your light shine? Let it all hang out, free TM for everyone - throw
open the south door to the dome, (and get rid of those stupid pieces of
foam). Lets get back to the basics - regualr TM 2 x 20 and large groups
practicing the TM program - call it whatever you like. Help everyone, before
it's too late.
You can't fool me for one second with all your dumb questions! You know as
well as I do that Lentz was offed, so let's just cut the crap. The only
reason you're over there is because it's too hot over here. : )
I'd be dead now too if they could find me or at the least they would take
away my dome badge, for what I know. Be careful - you know they got Jamgon
Kongtrul too! Watch out especially for the Karmapa group over in England -
they've got a real problem with the Dalia Lama.
> because of my association with
> Ram are so fucking LAME, man!
Apparently, you missed the point. Surfing the Himalayas: A Spiritual
Adventure by Frederick Lentz, is one of the best books I've ever read about
snowboarding in the Himalayas. In the words of Master Fwap, everything makes
sense. You should be so talented as to compose such a handbook!
According to Master Fwap, there are many psuedo spiritual teachers and
masters who have no idea of what enlightenment is. They can't even levitate
a pencil, much less lay claims to having endless Divine knowledge, power and
freedom.
Snowboarding to Nirvana is the sequel to Lenz's first book, and he further
explores Buddhist adventures with Master Fwap. In this book Master Fwap
gives specific instructions concerning a meditation technique advocated by
the Oracle. Lenz said that this book offers everything you need to attain
enlightenment and freedom from suffering.
P.S. Yes, I loved the part about the Danish blonde bombshell named Nadia,
who had been studying Buddhist theory and quantum physics for years! How can
I get a date with her? She's my type, I think - pssst, don't tell Rita I
said that, OK?
I'll answer this one, Willy, because it's fun.
There was a real Nadia, although she was
German and the incident didn't really
happen to Rama. It happened to one of
his students, who told Rama about it and
was later rather surprised to see the whole
story in Snowboarding To Nirvana.
For the record, I thought that second book
sucked dead dogs, and the first, Surfing
The Himalayas, was awful compared to his
earlier writings (now almost all out of print).
There is a rumor, which I happen to believe,
that he didn't even write the second book,
but had it mainly ghost-written for him by
one of his students, and then just rewrote
and edited the result. Go figure.

But I am enjoying reading about Lenz/Rama in your e-book "Road Trip
Mind", that's some incredible experiences...
The other books I'm reading now are a couple of bios on Shirdhi Sai
Baba (not the Sai Baba still alive now who manifests vibhuti or ashes
into people's palms)
I've heard he has been exposed as a fraud, (re: vibhuti) it this true? I've
actually eaten some of that stuff!!
hutch - Never mind what Uncle says about Rama - Uncle is obviously a
dilliatante. : )
But then again, I enjoyed all the T, Lobsang Rampa books too, so go figure.
