CNN is too busy bringing viewers Breaking News about Madonna's boobs
(they're still ancient) to report this story, but international media
are reporting a very disturbing incident regarding Ebola that just
occurred in Liberia, with the potential to intensify the epidemic severely.

A band of men armed with clubs raided a quarantine center in the capital
city of Monrovia, reportedly yelling "There's no Ebola in Liberia!" It
is unclear whether they tried to kill the patients or deliberately freed
them, but 20 infected patients fled and their whereabouts are unknown.
The bandits then looted the clinic, stealing bloodstained sheets and who
knows what other contaminated items.

So now there are 20 extra Ebola carriers running around, likely in
hiding, and many of the bandits are likely to have been infected, and
they and others like them will likely commit more incidents like this.

Apparently, there is a conspiracy theory in Liberia that the country's
president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, is lying about the Ebola epidemic to
get money from the West. And travel restrictions will certainly fuel
accusations that she is acting as a dictator, potentially leading to
(yet another) civil war that will lead to catastrophe as infected
refugees flee across the border.

Hm. From CNN's website, first new story:

http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/17/world/africa/ebola-liberia-
attack/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

Liberian police depart after firing shots in the air while trying to
protect an Ebola burial team in the West Point slum of Monrovia on
August 16, 2014. A crowd of several hundred local residents reportedly
drove away the burial team and their police escort. The mob then forced
open an Ebola isolation ward and took the patients out, many saying that
the Ebola epidemic is a hoax. Health officials say the current Ebola
outbreak in West Africa is the deadliest ever.

There's lots more, feel free to check it out.

Interestingly, I don't see a single story on foxnews.com. I might have
missed it, but it certainly wasn't near the top.
