I am tired of taking some many meds and want to try Acupuncture.
Anybody have experience with it ?

I was reading this article recently and convinced me to give it a
try.

I'd try it in a heartbeat if I could afford to get the treatments. While
my Chiropractic and muscle massages are covered by insurance, the
acupuncture is not, so it would be out of pocket. Let me know if you
proceed with it and if it helps. Nanny

Yes, I've had acupuncture. I had treatments 2-3 times per week for
about 4 months, but they didn't help my pain at all. The
acupuncturist even said she was making me worse. But, everybody's
different, so I would try it if I were you.

Hi Nanny !
I have used acupuncture for over 3 years now. My massage therapist is
a licensed acupuncturist. She uses them together. It has really
helped me with pain. She sends my bills into my insurance company and
they won't cover it, but they do used it against my deductible. That
helps me reach the deductible faster.
I think that the acupuncture helps with my muscle burning.

Acupuncture has helped me a lot and I am lucky to be reimbursed for the
treatments I get once a month because the practitioner happens to be a
medical doctor as well as an acupuncturist. I don't like acupuncture: lying
there in my underwear with needles stuck in me for half an hour is not my
idea of a good way to spend time, and it took me a while to find the doctor
worth going to. She hasn't cured me, but I seem to have less trouble walking
most of the time and it has helped my lower back pain (severe
osteoarthritis) a whole lot.

Good luck to you
Katie
