In Latin 'u' is written 'v', so we have,

Now, XMRV comes in - where 'X' is a statement that something
('M', 'R', and 'V') is to be deleted. So Mercurivs becomes,
ercuis
An anagram of ercuis is,
is cure

The above process is alchemy itself. So the statement is that,
Mercury is a cure for XMRV
...and this statement is Freemasonry.
