Earlier this month I got some kind of a bug. Started with a sore throat and then I lost my voice for almost two weeks. Doctor gave me antibiotics four days into it when I started coughing up the green stuff. Took the antibiotics for 10 days. I got my voice back (unfortunately for some people - like my doctor - that FIRED ME!)

The day after I stopped taking the antibiotics, the sore throat started again. And horrible fatigue, that seems different from the "bug." I was researching it on the Internet last night and kept coming back to Mono and EBV (which I was diagnosed (EBV) with seven (?) years ago). This morning when I was trying to sleep, I really starting hurting, and couldn't lie on my left side because of pain in the upper quadrant. THEN I REMEMBERED THE SPLEEN PART!

Anyway, when I first became sick weeks ago, someone had mentioned Echinacia. I mentioned it to one of the women in my doctor's office and she said because of the CFS and the heightened immune system that I shouldn't take Echinacia because it would increase my white blood cells which are already on "high-alert" from the CFS.

I'm wondering if I start taking the ENADA NADH again, or some herbal remedies if I can come out of this sooner or at all. A year and a half ago I had relapsed and just always thought "I had relapsed," but now I'm wondering if the EBV wasn't working on my system and this is now the final result of the relapse! frommy system being worn further down by the "bug."

I also still have some LDN that I had taken for a period of time but had stopped taking (I believe) a year ago when I felt I had relapsed, because I wasn't getting better.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Looks like the list has been really quiet lately. Anybody still out there????

Well I am still out here but I have only a suggestion that you
check on allergies because your sore throat
returned. That is the sort of symptom I had when I realized that in
addition to being allergic to cows milk
I was allergic to goat milk.

It might be other than milk, such as corn or wheat which are in all
sorts of products.

Thanks for the suggestions, Bobbie. But I've been allergic to milk for years. And I'm on Dr. Atkin's diet so I haven't had any of the other items. Tomorrow I'm going to call a friend's doctor who is a D.O. AND AN M.D. Going to try to get an appt asap. I'll try to keep up posting what the results are.

I had it three times in the past 5 years, so yes. And I tested positive to it every time. And when I was 26 I had it and then at 18 (now I am 44)

Not a bad suggestion.
I've had CFS for over 20 years
5 years ago after a chemical over exposure while sleeping in a just remodeled hotel outgassing building chemicals something terrible.
I am now allergic to or hypersensitive toalmost everything-andevery allergy or sensitivity exposure triggers my CFS symptoms instantly severely.
I was told I had developed Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. But it has me allergic not only to chemicals, but to most food, all trees, grasses, weeds, molds and on and on.
CFS does advance to more serious conditions, in my case it morphed into MCS.

I was filmed for a documentary for the National geographic channel where I go on to explain the CFS-MCS relationship, and how the symptoms I exhibit are the same for both.
It should air sometime late summer on the National Geographic channel, and will be titled something like LIVING WITH MULTIPLE CHEMICAL SENSITIVITY.
I'll make sure to let this group know when I see it scheduled to air.
I've attached a copy of the photo of me that will be used as the Documentary Cover Photo.

Sorry, I'm not always clear. LOL, wonder why.
I wanted to make it more clear that I supported the suggestion that you may be dealing with allergies.
I went on to describe the many many allergies I have acquired because it is not uncommon for us with CFS and suppressed immune systems to start developing new allergies. We are indeed very susceptible to this.
It may not be a bad idea to get allergy tested.
I did not know that allergies were keeping my CFS symptoms turned on all the time until after I got tested and saw just how many allergies I had.
Now that I practice avoidance of all my allergies, and wear a mask to protect myself from the outdoor allergies, I find that I have once again, put my CFS symptoms back into remission.
And reduced the frequency of migraines I was getting too.
Good luck with your doctor appointments. I hope they help you.

Think about going back on the enada. I'm on it for life, and it has helped, but it works gradually. It does really lower those painful cytokines that make life liserable.

Love, Anita

Hi Anita -

Thanks for your input. The last time I as on Enada NADH I was only taking it twice a week. I'm really sensitive to stuff. Do you think that would be enough to ward off some of the "demons?" I don't remember what happened that I started taking it just twice a week, but I sure I had a good reason at the time!! If I could only REMEMBER IT!!!

Hope you're doing okay.

Sharon. xxoo.
