Bionaire was mentioned as a good brand. What I need to know is this: Are
*all* Bionaire air cleaners the forced air type, or only some of them? I
really need one of these machines, but I don't want to repeat the
unfortunate experience some of you have had with dirty walls, etc. Can
anyone post the model number or any other distinguishing features of the
*good* Bionaires, so I can choose the right model? (I don't even know if
we're talking about a stand-alone model that sits in a bedroom or a
furnace-mounted model.)
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Whiel I can't post a definitive list, I myself have enjoyed my Bionaire
F-150 (identical to the 150, but different from the 150-S I believe - what
a nightmare). It's a small standalone machine - but bionaire makes two or
three smaller units - i just would not bother with them as our apartment
has largish rooms.
It's ideally suited to I would guess a 10' by 10' bedroom. On medium
speed, which is where I leave it, it is a 'little' noisy, but I like white
noise while I sleep.
It really sucks the larger particles out of the air, but i cannot vouch
for how well it removes the smaller particles.
Whiel not highly allergic, my slight allergies do contribute to my
sinusitus, which is why I bought one. I keep meaning to buy the larger
model (the 250 of F-250) for the living room, but I can never find it on
sale anywhere (sigh).
Good luck with your search and be sutre to write down the toll-free 800
number from the side of the bionaire boxes (new modles only I believe) to
call the company direct for some info. They were quite helpful when I did
so, even helpign me choose the size of the models to clean the apartment
in total.
