I'm 14 years old and I have a skin condition that I am unable to diagnose.
Any kind of strenuous contact to my skin causes the area only that was
contacted to break out in hives and little bumps that look like warts
almost.... 15-20 minutes later, the reaction is completely gone. Right now,
If I scratch my arm very lightly with my own fingernails, the whole line of
the scratch will break out. I spoke with my Uncle, who's a doctor, but in a
different field... he says it is some kind of Hyper Sensitivity to
Histamine. Could someone help me with a way to treat this or atleast calm it
down? My skin didn't use to be like this at all, it only began a little
less than a year ago.

Looks like you have Physical (pressure) Urticaria. You need to try different
anti-histamines to see which one suits you best. But urticaria supposedly
disappears within six months of its incidence but if does not then it might
stay for a long time and is said to have become chronic. I have chronic
cholinergic(heat induced) urticaria for 3 years now.

Checkout these sites ...

hope this helps .. good luck ..

thanks

It sounds very common to what I have, but from what I've read there are a
few differences. It says that the hives are due to periods of pressure like
around the waist and feet... but I've never had breakouts in those areas....
only on my arms and face, areas where no pressure is applied. The breakouts
are due more to very quick disturbance or contact on the skin. For example,
I'm playing basketball and I'm hit on the arm with the ball, that area will
break out. Also, I think it says the hives go away within a certain amount
of hours... but mine go away within 15-20 minutes.... I don't know maybe it
is the same thing.... Oh well, gotta keep researching... :o) thx for your
help though, much appreciated.

Then may be you too have cholinergic (or heat induced) urticaria. Did you
ever have any breakouts without any physical
exertion at all ? If not then you might very well be having same flavor as
me. It is where the breakout happens when the overall temperature of the
body rises beyond certain tolerance value which differs from person to
person. This can be due to physical exertion, external temperature rise, hot
showers or any kind or rubbing/contact which produces heat - even things
like friction with clothes. And you are right it usually does not stay for
more than half hour but that I guess also differs from person to person. In
anycase try taking anti-histamines just before playing or when you feel you
vulnerable to have a breakout and see if it helps ..

I have found that I am less reactive to things that used to bother me since I
have been getting chelation treatment, the cleansing of the toxins in my body
reduced the load on my liver and heat which brings out toxins does not effect me
as much. I have had boith edta and glutitione treatments.

I've never had a breakout without any kind of physical contact on the
area.... Only during the winter when my skin was very dry would I break out
also, but not as bad as what we've been talking about.I've tried taking
benadryl before, but it always makes me really drowsy...

Hi
My husband and my son break out in red blotches after a shower, my son as a baby
broke out in little bumps with an actual puss sack when he was bathed, they
would disappear very quickly. My son also would break out when he would do
dishes, when his hands were in the water but he would break out all over. They
both have seen doctors who acted like we were crazy. Could they have
cholinergic and how is it diagnosed
