Has anyone got any experience with machining Swedish iron?
I have to turn quarter inch material down to 2.2mm.
Any advice on speeds, feeds and tooling would be appreciated.

The actual material Is "Remko B" to DTD5102 ( a soft magnetic iron)
It's chemical compositionis; 0.02%C, 0.05%Si max, 0.18%Mn, 0.012P max,
0.025%S max, 0.05%Cr max, 0.08%Ni max, 0.06Cu% max,
I'm using 1.5m lengths of bar to turn a componet 15mm long at 2.2mm with 2
shoulders at 6.0mm dia.
The material will turn longitudally very well but forming between the
shoulders gives large (unacceptable) burrs.
Any experiance/advice would be appreciated.
