And I might add that anyone who is so easily manipulated that they'd
consume something based on a suggestion, rather than just because they
want to eat that food pretty much has no business complaining or
blaming anyone other than themselves. Anyway, I had always thought
that for it to be effective, subliminal suggestion had to be very
subtle. As we all know, McD's commercials are anything but subtle.
Then again, I guess it all depends upon the type of audience you're
targeting.

In the lab, ordinary sugar, as well as even plain water, kills
rats. So we can deduce that sugar and water, the two most essential
nutrients to man, save oxygen, are harmful. Worse still, pure
oxygen is harmful, when administered for protracted periods.
Then, there are the lab experiments conducted for the battery of
preservatives, additives, flavour enhancers, etc ...
... all are bad! Period.
Worse still, unless these tests are done with random groups of
volunteers, rather than hand-picked "control groups", and they are
performed on a double-blind basis, they are worthless.
Subliminal seduction =does= work, and it works well, or else the
advertisers wouldn't be spending billions of extra dollars engineering
their commercials.
