One of the world's most well-respected martial arts gurus appears to have
triggered a festering controversy in martial arts circles once again,
claiming that periodic bouts of all-out feasting hold the secret to achieving
ultimate martial arts clarity, speed, and power. According to the author's
online blog, extreme overindulgence in ordinary foods such as cheeseburgers
and pizza, properly timed, can result in big gains in martial arts skill and
success. While the precise mechanism behind this remain obscure, according to
the author, it has something to do with achieving levels of overindulgence so
extreme that the body activates its own survival systems, which in turn
trigger supernormal performance in combat and training. As someone who is
always looking for that extra edge in mano-a-mano situations, I think it's at
least worth investigating:

I eat antthing and everything to try to gain, at age 18 i weighed 155
now at age 45 I weigh 165. I started taking better vitamins and a
protein shake. but I do stay away from greasy foods now. My sparring
and mental focus has gotten a lot better since the vitamins and
energy drinks, not the caffiene overblast ones but one a day thaat has
a cup of coffees worth and muscle builders and recovery. I am faster
with more endurance , but can't seem to quit smoking. too much stress
in my everyday work life or just haven't figured out how to mentally
conquer smoking.
