Hi all,

I have been training in ITF for a long time. Since moving here to
Atlanta I have not found any ITF school. I am wondering if anyone know
if there is a school teaching ITF in Atlanta? I want to enroll my
children in it. I can either help or join as the case might be (I am a
4th Dan).

In another scenarios, are there anyone in Atlanta who is interested in
ITF training and have no where to go. We can also get together to train.
I know a couple of high ranking ITF practitioners (6th and 4th Dan) in
Atlanta. We have the means and the credential but not the time to
formally open a school.

The ideal situation is to join a school. Teaching my children at home
get boring pretty fast.

Georgia is part of Region IX of the United States Taekwon-Do
Federation. The USTF is the NGB for the ITF in the United States. The
Georgia state director is Ms. Sylvia Thibado, V Dan. You can contact
her at PThi...@citrus.infi.net or call USTF headquarters at 303-466-
4963.

Good luck

Hello.
Ask this same question at my Yahoo club
Southeastern Martial Arts
http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/southeasternmartialarts
or
http://go.to/southeasternmartialarts
(they go to the same place)
There are over 200 members in that club and many of them are from
Atlanta.
The club is a message board site, like this one.
This should help if you try it.

I know both Mr & Mrs Thibado. I did check with them and was confirmed
that there is currently no USTF school in Georgia.

By researching the Web, I also know that there are 2 KATU
(http://members.tripod.com/KATU-ITF) schools in Georgia (about 2 hrs
drive North of Atlanta), no GTF school, no ITA school in GA either. I
don't know much about GTF or ITA but their from their web sites they
seem to teach ITF styles hyungs. Am I missing something?

The GTF was formed in 1990 by former ITF Sec. Gen. Jung-Tae Park. He
added a few patterns and changed a couple of other things. I don't know
anything about the ITA or Grand Master Benko. Neither group is part of
the ITF.

Why do you believe CDK schools would teach ITF forms? It is far more likely
that they would teach one of the two WTF poomse sets or perhaps the old
Okinawan forms, i.e. the original CDK forms.

Hi...

I "believe" that they would teach the forms, because I belong to a Chung Do
Kwan school whose Grandmaster is affiliated with these Korean Grandmasters,
and who himself put that very list together, and asked me to store it for
him on disk. At our dojang (the grandmaster is 9th dan), we study ITF style
forms, so no, it is NOT "more likely" that they would teach WTF forms, or
Okinawan forms.

Hope that clarifies it.
