Does anyone know if there are any web pages that illustrate shotokan
katas (below black belt)?
Failing that, anyone recommend a book or video?
Thank you.

This site has video of all the kata of Shotokan karate. Old and new
video for most kata. It's a bandwidth nightware though. I hope you
are on cable or ADSL.

You need the Best Karate series of books (5-11 anyway) and I really
like Suguiyama's 25 Shotokan Kata for the diagrams. I've never seen
Kanazawa's kata books but I've heard they are good.
Check out this site for some book reviews and links:

By the way, I'm on a cable (2Mb/s) but the transfer is reeeaally slow.
Maybe this is the way I learn patience...

Or, try: http://ctr.usf.edu/shotokan/
Vidclips demonstrating all 26 JKA katas, in current and classical forms.
Watching is so much nicer than reading "move here, punch there." Of course
Shotokan Planet (already recommended to you) is fantastic.
Cheers,
