FA: Seabreeze HS, Daytona Beach, Sandcrab '64 - Allman Brothers

Seabreeze High School
Daytona Beach, Florida
It's fairly well known that Duane and Gregg Allman attended Seabreeze High
School in Daytona Beach, FL. If you look around on the net, you'll find that
Duane was a year older than Gregg and quit school at some point. Gregg
graduated from Seabreeze, supposedly in 1965. Some of this information
appears to be incorrect. This is the 1964 Sandcrab, Seabreeze's yearbook. At
the time, senior high school consisted of grades 10-12. In this book Duane
Allman is listed as a sophomore. Unfortunately, he is not pictured (this
year seemed to have an incredible number on not pictured in all classes).
There is no other listing for Duane and he doesn't appear in any
extracurricular activities. If he was a sophomore during the 63-64 school
year, Gregg would have been a 9th grader (in middle school). This means that
Gregg wouldn't appear in this year book at all, and he doesn't. It also
means however, in absence of some amazing advancement, Duane would have
graduated in 1966 had he remained in school and Gregg should have graduated
in 1967, not 1965. What's this mean? Not much, just that this is a year book
from a time when Duane Allman attended the school.

This book belonged to Elaine Dorman, Junior. It contains 234 pages of
photos, signatures and some neat ads. Laid in are the Seniors' Last Will and
Testament and the Seabreeze Student Handbook for the 1964-1965 school year.
