I am most impressed with the paragraph titled "Key Words"! Interesting
concept and sure to bring up this auction on dozens more searches than the
body text or heading. hmmm.

Lots of people use key words in their auction
descriptions .On many of my item groupings, I
put a unique search word at the very bottom of
the auction text. I do an auction text search
for that "word" and put the URL in my auction
as a link to *only* those auctions.

I don't think that's what they're doing here,
but since the words are very related, I can't
see where it's keyword spamming or anything -
especially when it's in the auction text (not
the title).

Would this bother you as much if they were
selling a piece of green Roseville, and the
search words were "green flower Roseville
Ohio pottery fuschia"?

It didn't bother me at all. As a matter of fact I thought is was a good
idea.

Even though the words are related to the item... eBay might disagree
about whether it is keyword spamming. Their rules more or less say it
IS and is NOT permitted.

From this page http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/png-wordspam.html
one of the things counted as keyword spamming is lists of words.

You'll note they don't qualify it as lists of unrelated words...

>>
Lists of Words. (1.) The inclusion of words that are simply listed to
attract viewers via our search engines and are not part of a context
based item description. For example, it would not be permissible to
state the following in your item description: "oil reproductions, art
recreations, gallery, art gallery, impressionist, impressionism, oil
paintings, reproduction, painting, recreation, copy, quality,
reproductions, recreations, realistic, copies, paintings, old masters,
replica, posters, prints, video..." (2.) The inclusion of words that
are simply listed to divert viewers to your other eBay items. For
example, it would not be permissible to state "Please view my other
eBay listings for Beanie Babies, vintage Barbies, Rolex watches, and
Chanel scarves." It would be acceptable to state "Please click here to
view my other eBay listings."
<<

However, if the seller uses those keywords skillfully within the
context of the description instead of as a list, they would be OK,
since they are related to the item. Go figure.

Me, I work my keywords in for the most part, it's not that hard, and
worry less about someone reporting me. You just never know who's
looking at your auction and might be willing to report you. And you
never know just how eBay would act on a given report.

Of course, how good eBay is about paying attention to reports I don't
know... I once reported someone who was really messing up my searches
by using lengthy lists of totally unrelated keywords in hidden text
and I don't think they ever shut the auctions down even though hidden
text is pretty blatantly abuse! I bet they gave the seller a warning
though, because since that batch of auctions ended, my searches have
been normal again. It was a powerseller, so perhaps that was why the
auctions were not ended.

Check out the return policy...I wouldn't care to bid after seeing that.

Trading these two items on eBay would violate the thirteenth amendment.

Google saved it, but I can't remember enough about
it to search.
