Must be in San Diego area---and have good knowledge of ebay, film, posters,
collectibles.
Inventory of 150,000 oversized title/lobby cards from MX, 1930's-1980's.
Similar inventory is listing 50 items/day and grossing $12,500-$15,000/month.

You've got three months to get rid of your stuff or USPS is going to put
the screws to your profit margin.
This guy posted the same crap last year. Apparently he hasnt gotten
rid of ANY of the material. Do the math and you will see this stuff
cant possibly be worth what he says it is. 1500 items a month, he gets
12,500 bucks, thats less than 10 bucks a poster, gross. Consider the
cost of shipping, handling the mess, the time it takes to list it and
pack it and you make maybe a buck a transaction! No wonder nobody took
him up on it last year, if the junk exists at all.
Oh yeah, and at 50 posters a day, you will be all sold out in only
3000 days. To say nothing of the 3000 days it takes to list it.
! Spew !

There may be money in this, but he would not like my terms. I would required
that the inventory be shipped to me in Florida ao I could examine it. Stuff
I considered junk would go to the bottom of the pile. The mopney split would
be 50-50.
I sold a bunch of this sort of thing a year or so back.
If he really has something, he could easily move the mess fast at a live
auction.

I believe this could be the "similar inventory." You can see the amount
of traffic, but it is certainly going to be a labor-intensive venture.
It would take patience and fortitude and the ability to accept
statistics as reinforcement. My guess is you could unload it all to
another entrepreneur, or franchise it to sellers at swapmeets in EasLos
and the border area.

I think it could be simplified, and money made several ways.
With the history of sales, and the fact that he's obviously
got *lots* of duplicates, go through them and pull out those
which bring the most money. List *those* on eBay.
Sell the rest (the no-sellers or low-balls not worth listing)
in groups on eBay, to swapmeeters, and via a webpage.
Listing all of them would be horrendous and a waste of a
lot of someone's time. There's a lot of under-$10 (and
no sales) in this list, sorted by amount:

3,647 auctions in the past month. Wow.

This is known as the "greater fool" marketing theory.

Here is the premiere practitioner of such foolhardy excessive listings:

This guy has possibly paid eBay more in fees than his gross revenues
from sales. About 25000 auctions listed; less than 10% receiving bids.
You can bet money that Meg has him on her Christmas Card list.
