What is the best time of day and day of week to end an auction, to
receive the maximum number of bidders? What have other sellers
experienced?

I'm sure this has been discussed before and I apologize for repeating,
but I couldn't find this thread discussed recently.

It may depend on your item. Many collectors are willing to go to a lot of
trouble to get a bid in on something scarce - Wednesday night at 20:00:00 pst
might be good, to avoid congestion. If yer junque is pretty common and your
buyer can get one just like it tomorrow then you are in an impulse buying
situation, Sunday evening might be best. Remember too that a lot of ppl log
on at noon from their workplaces as well - so 12:15 pm pst lets everybody in
the continental u.s. have a last look at it from work.

Soo, I don't know. If ebay published their stats the many ppl would prolly
swarm to that time spot. Now and then they give a hint about when traffic is
heaviest. But heavy traffic brings slow response times. Which is another way
of saying, "I don't know."

Sorry,

I think the general consensus was Sunday evening.

It really depends on what you sell.

For me, the weekends are a no-go. The prices tumble. I have
my best luck during the day (either 1:00 pm EST or 4:00 pm EST).

And preferably Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. (Fridays are
bad and Mondays are hit-and-miss.)
