I don't think I would want someone's cold coffee but I guess someone does.

I don't know what the scam is for sure, but I'd suspect they are either
just playing around, or trying to promote their little bagel/coffee
shop.

My guess is that they're just playing around. I believe Pick-a-bagel
has a few stores throughout NYC, and I doubt that they would promote
themselves using eBay.

Dear Sirs,
I'm extremely disappointed that you chose to remove my auction,
'369500343 Fresh coffee with milk!!' I am unsure as to how you
arrived at the conclusion that my auction was a 'joke.' After
all, if it WAS a joke, why were there 11 bids for upwards of
$100.00 (as of 6/29, 9:00 PM)?
I just can't understand how you arrived at the 'joke'
conclusions.
As stated repeatedly on the auction page, it was a perfectly good
cup of coffee. I bought it on the morning of 6/28, and was
prepared to drink it when I discovered that it had milk in it.
It's not that I'm lactose intolerant, but I really don't like
milk
in my coffee. I offered it to my co-workers, but none of them
wanted it. So, rather than throw it away, I decided to offer it
to the rest of the world. After all, somebody out there MUST want
a cup of coffee, don't you agree?
Would you rather I have simply disposed of it? I find that a
little wasteful, especially in light of the fact that people are
starving all over the world. Do you advocate wasting perfectly
good food? I, for one, find that morally reprehensible.
So I attempted to bring my unwanted coffee into the open
marketplace. And, as you can see by the bidding price, people
certainly wanted that coffee. Would someone bid over $100 on
something they thought was a joke? I certainly doubt it.
With all due respect, I request that you reconsider your
decision.
The coffee is still sitting on my desk. Yes, it's slightly cold
after two days of room-temperature storage, but it's otherwise
fine. It would be a perfect shame to throw away that coffee, but
without eBay, I am left with no other alternative. Do you really
want the disposable of perfectly edible food on your collective
corporate conscience?
Yours in good faith,
Dave Prager
