I haven't really noticed a slow down, but then again I sell
summer clothing.

Right after Memorial Day my autograph auctions really slowed down
at Yahoo and Ebay, but the antiques and model railroad, especially
garden railroad, auctions have been doing well.If it is seasonal,
it is a good idea to diversify and concentrate on the lines that
are getting the bids.

I dont think so... I have had a big slowdown in the last week or so, and I
haven't changed any information.

I haven't changed id's or anything, and I've experienced a slowdown since the
beginning of June. Seems like it's both auction views and bids are down.

>I have noticed it too. I think its just the
annual summer slowdown in the on-line
auction business. Many people are
on vacation, involved in outdoor activities etc. and away from the
computer. I don't have anything currently
listed and might just wait until after Labor
Day to list again.

Tis the season.

Late May thru June is always slow.

Few bids.
And lotsa NPB.

Like I mentioned before it's been great for me. One plus though
that I think I had is that I finally got a mannequin for my
clothing. Since it has like a 10" waist everything looks
awesome on it.

Women's clothing is our specialty, doesn't do well in Nov., Dec. but
that's ok, we do great the rest of the year. Nice customers too. Few men.

I have also been slow. I think the weather has been so nice that people are
outside, instead hanging out on their computer like they should be!

That's a good idea. My Mom has one of those dressmaking dummies she never
uses - maybe I'll give that a try. WHere did you get a mannequin?

I got it off of ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=347355971

I just checked and the woman doesn't have any up right now for
bid, but maybe you could email her or do a search. I paid
$19.95 + $8.00 shipping for it. My sales were great this last
week and I think that's why. Bikinis and stuff look awesome on
it!

I did a search for body form and that's how I found it.

I've been auctioning records and only about half of them even get bids, but
the ones that do get bids usually go for much higher than I expected. Even
higher than the price guides. I just finished an auction on a blues 45 which
I graded at VG, and was very clear about all the imperfections, and yet it
sold for twice the Goldmine list price for that record in Very Good
condition. Meanwhile I've had some other records up in near mint condition
with very low starting prices and no reserves and got no bids on them.

The only thing I don't like is with everyone 'watching' auctions these days
they don't bid until usually the last few hours, and the snipers have won
every single auction. But I put the items up for at least 5 days so people
can email me with any questions they have about it.

Its just that little dip between the spring slowdown and the summer slack period.
