Texas Independent Winterguard Cast Auditions

Texas Independent Winterguard (TXI), the newest independent guard in
the Dallas/Ft. Worth area is proud to announce that Calhoun Middle
School, 709 Congress, Denton, TX 76201, will be the location of its
first Open House and Cast Auditions on Sunday, September 23, 2007,
from 10 am until 6 pm.
A $40 registration fee is required, and funds will be applied to dues.
Cast
applications for Texas Independent Winterguard can be found at
http://txindependent.org and completed ahead of time.
According to Jason Maier, Director, "Our staff has prepared a fun and
challenging program for the 2008 season. If you have the desire to
dance,
perform, or spin, and have the willingness to work hard and learn new
things, then we have a spot for you!" Jason also recommends that

Staff members for the new guard include Judith Easton, Jason Maier,
Cherie
Schooley, and Michael Vazquez. Texas Independent is an organization
under
the umbrella of the Frontier Performing Arts Association (http://
frontierperformingarts.org). "FPAA is excited to continue to provide
an outlet for the pageantry arts in North Texas. TXI¹s debut will
mark the first winterguard in the FPAA family," states Chris Green,
Executive Director of FPAA.
Texas Independent Winterguard plans to compete in Independent A class
in the North Texas Colorguard Association, and to attend WGI regionals
in Dallas, Houston, Nashville, and WGI Championships in Dayton, OH.
