Are there any translations of Dragon Ball available? My Japanese
roommate has a couple issues, and they look pretty cool, but I'd like
to know what's going on.

Thanks in advance,

From what I've heard, the manga started out pretty interesting and funny but
later became bogged down into endless similiar fight scenes to "appeal
more to the readership" (ahhh, those wonderful Jump reply cards 8-( )

This also appears to be seen in the tv series. I've seen the first dozen
or so episodes of DragonBall and it was pretty funny, but after seeing a
couple of DragonBall Z eps, it was bland and uninteresting.

Ida know about that...the current plot concerning the Cyborgs is
certainly full of its share of plot twists. Admittedly its not
"funny" but there are few series that can pull going from "slapstick"
to dead-serious off very well.

Then again, I get my DBZ on a weekly basis, so I get the same damned
cliffhangers those poor kids get...SIGH...
