The bar is located in the predominantly British resort of Puerto Pollensa
which has featured in many holiday programmes and is generally regarded as
one of the best resorts on the island. There is seating outside and the bar
is approx 70 square meters including public areas, toilets, bar and store
room. There is an additional large storage room located in the cellar of the
building.
The bar is open all year round and has a good winter trade, popular with
locals, in addition to the peak season tourist trade. The bar has a football
theme (Blackburn Rovers not the Rovers of Coronation Street ! ) but could
easily be converted into Weatherfields finest. There is a pool table (shared
profits with the supplier), fotoplay machine and Sky Digital with four TV
screens and the Spanish Via Digital TV system. An ADSL Broadband Internet
Service is offered and all Premiership Games and Nationwide games are shown.
A live Premiership game on Saturdays via Digital and live updates on all
other games ensure a lively atmosphere. Eastenders, Coronation Street and
Big Brother are all big favourites with the tourists! The bar is air
conditioned and the music system means all tastes can be catered for. Only
snacks are provided but there is scope for much more catering. The bar is
leasehold with an option for a further five years. The present owner who has
developed the business from scratch is selling due to ill health. The
current rent is 900 euros per month and the leasehold price is 90,000 euros.
