Hey folks,
I've been disappointed with with the translations of "The Yoga Sutras
of Patanjali" I've tried so far. So can anyone recommend a good
version please?

I have this translation, but as with all
translations of 'stuff' I read through
the text before reading the translator's
commentary on what the text means.

She is recommended as a scholarly translator
of Sanskrit literature.

Then it struggles to change the world,
and not the mind itself.

You obviously don't even know what the word "sutra" means.

The sutras of Patanjali are for people who have studied Yoga
under a Yogi Master. They are a cheat sheet for such people.

Until you have done that they won't be of any use to you
at all.

Unless youa are just looking for ways to impress people by
posting a lot of esoteric stuff that you don't even understand
in the hopes that they will believe you are a real magician.

Lot of that going around...

Iyengar's translation and commentary is very good.
