....Now the receiver has been through the black-out phase and has the
spirit in the mirror. He or she says "Yes, I have a presence." The
operator welcomes the spirit (in the case of a Pagan God or Goddess
the operator will apologize for the strong conjuration -- see TBOSM --
and venerate the deity). An oracle may be asked for and received. The
very unusual thing about the magical trance state, created by O.T.A.
self-hypnotic training, is that it allows for three-way conversations
to take place during the reception phase of the operation. The
operator can question the spirit directly, or ask the receiver to
intercede. The spirit may break in at any time it feels moved to do
so. All-in-all the experience is remarkable -- but the training, which
the popularizers of our method (White and Kraig) have omitted, is
vitally important.
The operator should not keep the spirit too long. This
puts a strain on the dream state. We summon them and then we send
them away. We never let them fade out.
After the license to depart, snuff the candles, turn the
lamen, cover the mirror and perform a closing Planetary Septagram
(Lunar), followed by a LBRP. Close the temple in due form.
Immediately sit down in the hermitage to carefully LOG
the experience and the information received; otherwise, like a dream,
you will lose it.
This concludes our very brief introduction to modern
Goetia theory and practice. If you want to pursue this subject
further, we offer a complete course (75 minute video and 230 page
book) expanding and detailing what we have covered in these
public information articles. Check the "Resources Section" of our
website: http://members.aol.com/CHSOTA/welcome.html
Good Magick!
