The first half of this trick is easy. But can someone please explain how he does the end??
Where did those cards come from and how does he get them to drop precisely where he wants
them and just one at a time? Thanks.

ways it could be done with double-sided tape in various positions on
the mat. It would allow you to snag one card, drag to the next piece,
snag another one, etc. I'm still thinking it's just practice though.
What baffles me is that it's gotten over two million hits. I don't
think I've ever seen a trick get that many hits.

coming out of the woodwork with borderline supernatural abilities.
None of them ever offer up any kind of tutorial or explanation.
They're almost always at home or alone with the video camera. I think
if it were me I'd want to hit the streets and show off my talents.
You'd have no trouble finding work with chops like what we've seen
here.

already in order to his right, and stay that way all the way through
after fake shuffles and cuts. look at the 5 of diamonds. I tried laying
them down that way and it looks like something one can get right after
trying for a couple of hours, or maybe days.

The laydown is really easy, you just use the reverse of a close-up mat,
so the rubber backing grips the cards and drags them out in the correct
order.

Please lighten up! As a former Marine I take no offense to someone who make the mistake of confusing a Marine from an Army soldier. Just enjoy the video and the tribute is paying to those that serve or have served in the military. Many people make that mistake and that is because there were not in the service and don't know that there is a difference (i.e. airman, etc.). He is a very talented magician who did a great job in paying tribute and showing his patriotism.

To DJdext: The whole Jewish holiday of Hanukkah is from Maccabees. And the NT is replete with references to the 7 deuterocanonical books (or apocryphal as you call them). Google Scripture Catholic - Deuterocanonical and you'll see the list. The Gospel writers used the Septuagint in quoting the OT and it has the 7 books. Sounds like they thought it was authoritative to me.

First of all you can google and a lot of catholic sources and agree that the apocryphal books are not to be included in the holy bible. Second check again. None of the new testament writers reference or quote from an apocryphal book. That is fact. While you're googling check the dates these were written. All other books are firmly established as the bible canon. Truth is truth.

With the establishing of the Christian congregation, a new situation came into existence. Christians are not under the Mosaic Law as king David was. Christ’s followers were to make disciples of people of all nations; so worshipers of the true God would in time be found in all those nations. If true Christians in one nation were to go to war against another nation, they would be fighting against fellow believers, against people who prayed for help to the same God that they did. Logical right?

There were Christian/Jewish soldiers in the Bible. The Maccabees ring a bell? His practice of illusion isn't spreading "Satan's lies." He's also not lying about Biblical truths. He's telling a story.

Yes there were soliders on the bible but God was on their side and in the law covenant he laid down specific and perfect rules of engagement that were to be followed. Do soldiers or govt follow those perfect rules now? Of course not. Not to mention Jesus told his disciples to go forth and make disciples in all the lands. So if you are a true christian should you be killing other true christians that pray to the same God? Doesn't make much sense to do that, right?

Even the Maccabees didn't always follow those ROEs. There was a time on the Sabbath when they were attacked by the Greeks. Instead of fighting they surrendered. They were all slaughtered, men, women and children. The current leader of the Maccabees (either Judas or Mattathias at the time) commanded that they would defend themselves even on the Sabbath. And soldiers aren't killing other "true Christians." God's teaches to be generous, kind, forgiving and to repent not to criticize a good story.

Maccabees and the apocryphal book are not part of the bible cannon because they are not in harmony with the rest of the bible. ALso they never claimed they were inspired of god when written. Lastly Jesus nor any other authors of the CGS ever referenced Maccabees. With these alone you can confidently say the Maccabees never had God's favor and therefore never acted as his righteous judge in wars. Makes complete sense, right? I'm criticizing the story, Just pointing out truth.

Ask a jewish scholar - the establishment of the Hebrew canon is credited to Ezra. It was fixed by the 5th century BCE and never included maccabees. When did the events occur and when was it written? Well after the hebrew canon was fixed. While 1st Macabbes may be of historical interest the rest of the apocrypha (this word means "carefully concealed" btw) are full of myths and superstitions and are abound with errors. Again they were never refered to or quoted by Jesus or any writers of the CGS.

No biblical basis for a belief in a trinity. No true Christian would be a soldier. Thou shall not kill ring a bell? Andbwhat does the bible say about those practicing magic? So Satan wants you to spread lies about biblical truth and kill people and for that you almost got a thumbs up for doing his work but in reality I can't help Satan spread lies so thumbs down.

Please lighten up! As a former Marine I take no offense to someone who make the mistake of confusing a Marine from an Army soldier. Just enjoy the video and the tribute is paying to those that serve or have served in the military. Many people make that mistake and that is because there were not in the service and don't know that there is a difference (i.e. airman, etc.). He is a very talented magician who did a great job in paying tribute and showing his patriotism.

I'm gonna delete my original comment because I was under the impression (which I have since learned was completely mistaken, and I won't go into why I had that impression. It's irrelevant) that this dude was a "former" avowed atheist who used to troll religious people in online forums and even videos, and then suddenly become a hyper religious proselytizer who'd insinuate that non-religious people are somehow immoral, and posted this to imply that the troops are all religious like this.

And as a Marine myself, I have a problem with the occasionally forced religious proselytizing in the military, so I guess I got a little more annoyed at this than I should since it came across as a way of reinforcing that, however indirectly. Otherwise, I'm with you in that I generally don't care if people confuse Marines and soldiers. So I guess, take this as my apology to the video's uploader for my mistaken impression.
